FUERTEVENTURA

Fuerteventura, a Spanish island, is one of the Canary Islands in the Atlantic Ocean. It is situated just 100 km off the Sahara Desert. The island is 100 km long and 31 km wide and has an area of 1660 kmē.

The climate on the island with its 3,000 sunshine hours a year is pleasant. High temperatures are around 21ºC in winter months and about 27ºC in the summer months. Low temperatures hover about 15ºC in the winter and about 20ºC during the summer.

Fuerteventura has 285 kilometres of coastline. The average water temperature ranges from 17 to 23 ºC. Unlike the rest of the Canary Islands, the shores are generally low-lying empty Beaches. Perfect for any kind of Watersport, or just strolling in the warm temperatures thanks to the fresh trade winds.
